ELIGIBILITY

• You are aged between 16–18 (inclusive) at the time you apply
• You have your parent or guardian’s consent to applying
• You are a permanent resident or citizen of Aotearoa New Zealand
• You are available to participate in the nextWAV. programme on the key dates set out in the Programme Structure

We are looking for students who are:

• Committed to a 12-month programme, with four sessions within school holidays
• Driven, with a clear desire to develop as a recording artist
• Open to learning, feedback, and collaboration
• Ready to learn the full range of skills needed to take their music and artistry further

The nextWAV. programme is reserved for individuals – you can’t apply or participate as a band, group or duo. But you can absolutely be in one and within your application you can talk about your experience in a band, group or duo. Please just make sure you have permission to submit any materials with your application that belong to your band, group or duo.
